Evergreen Cemetery Tour

Like mixing history with spooky? You don’t have to drive to St. Augustine. Instead stay right here in Jacksonville and join the the Port of Jacksonville and Orange Park Pilot Clubs at Evergreen Cemetery on April 24-25. Expect a tour, complete with actors dressed in period garb telling tales about the historical residents of the cemetery and their sometimes grisly deaths.
Besides the gorgeous grounds of the cemetery, the dramatics and the tour, there will also be a Marketplace with crafts, treats, historical books and more.
Proceeds will benefit the Jericho School, the Clay County Council on Aging and other community service projects. Tours last two hours and run continuously Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 3 pm.
Tickets will be available throughout the Jacksonville and Orange Park area. Donations for tour admission are $10 in advance, $12 at the gate, and $4 for children under 12.
Ticket locations include Evergreen Cemetery (4535 N. Main Street), The Olde Green Cupboard (10950 San Jose Blvd.), III Lions Gifts (1950 San Marco Blvd.), Cottage by the Sea (401 S. 3rd Ave., Jacksonville Beach), The Avondale Gift Boutique (3650 St. Johns Ave.), Patches Gifts-Oakleaf (9570 Crosshill Blvd., Ste. 102, Orange Park).
