1528 Hendricks Ave., San Marco
A Jacksonville institution, Jack Rabbits has been bringing in big national acts and nurturing small local ones for over ten years. The venue is only open for concerts, one of the first of its kind in the North Florida area, and only features live, original music. Jack Rabbits boasts one of the best sound systems in town and its small size makes for memorable, intimate performances. The club has a decent beer and wine selection and has plenty of sodas, energy drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages for their underage clientele. For more info and a complete look at Jack Rabbits’ upcoming concerts, see their website.

Loud, Fast and Lifted: Lifted Riffs

Words by Carmen Macri  “It wasn’t always the dream, you know, I didn’t always want to be a punk or a rockstar, it’s just something that kind of happened through life.”  Jacksonville’s music scene might seem like a thing of the past — if you’re not paying attention.

Nightlife Tech

Words by Kaili Cochran What does it mean to go out when the dance floor might be virtual, the music silent and your wristband reflects your mood in real time? Nightlife is constantly evolving and so are the ways we socialize and spend our time. Earlier this year
