The Uptown Market in Springfield is now open. The market serves breakfast, lunch, and other deli needs. They feature fresh ingredients in familiar dishes as well as introducing you to new tastes. Giving a pub another go at the sport complex is the newly opened City Hall Pub (234 A. Randolph Blvd. 356-6750).
AJ’s Riverside Cafe and BBQ has moved into the 630 Park Street locale. Tad’s moved back on to Park Street (436 Park St.), just two doors down from its original digs, albeit with a different name: Two Doors Down.
Sterlings, an upscale Avondale standby, has been purchased by its original owner. By the end of the month it will be renamed (The Bluefish Restaurant and Oyster Bar) and the menu revamped. While still on the expensive side (average entree $24) there will be lower cost entrees available.

October 10: The Toyota Hybrid Farm to Table Tour Twelve local beloved chefs and farmers will be paired together for a day that highlights the Riverside Arts Market’s offerings. The chefs will prepare special tastings showcasing their partner farm’s fresh ingredients and visitors will have the opportunity to sample the chefs’ creations while also learning more about the market vendors, their products, and how to buy and eat seasonally.
