New rock outfit Killer on the Way (featuring former members of Zona, Porcelain Black, Room to Breathe and Clone Defect) will perform live for the second time at Jack Rabbits on the 1st. Go out and show your support. . Black Kids and SUNBEARS! will perform at the Freebird on the 2nd after a month on the road with Mates of State. Welcome them home! In other Black Kids news, be sure to download their recently released Cemetery Lips EP, which features B-sides and remixes from Partie Traumatic. . Stop Brian Cancer 2, a concert event benefiting local musician Brain Hicks, will bring some of Jax’s best bands to the Eclipse on the 17th. Shangrala, SUNBEARS!, Crash the Satellites and Chris Estes Band are all tentatively scheduled to perform. A great show for a great cause! . On May 24 Chicken & Whiskey will play their local debut at Shantytown Pub along with St. Augustine’s
Lighthouse Music. Promising to change the course of the Jacksonville music scene and human history as we know it, this is one show you don’t want to miss. . Dont Sigh Daisy is releasing their new CD on May 30th but will have their release party one day earlier at the Murray Hill. Come out and hear the new tunes. . This neighborhood hang out has been a favorite of locals since it opened almost two decades ago. Primarily a dance club, Eclipse does book the occasional live act, including up-and-coming locals and touring bands.
