Ancient Ships
Throughout the month – An exhibit that features depictions of ancient ships on coins from the Greek, Roman and Phoenician eras, along with detailed models of early modern ships and manuscripts related to famous sea battles.

Art Fusion
Sundays, noon-4 pm – ArtFusion is a free Sunday afternoon drop-in program for families at the MOCA Downtown, providing a creative and supportive environment for children to work with their parents or adult caregivers, exploring exciting themes and hands-on projects related to exhibitions or collections you can visit together in the galleries. Free Salsa/ Latin Dancing Classes at the Grape
The 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month. Join The Grape and Curtis J. Williams (Florida Ballet), instructor and choreographer, for free Salsa and Latin dancing classes for couples and singles. No reservations or prior Salsa dancing experience required.

THE PLAYERS free Tuesdays at the Cummer
The Cummer is open to the public, free of charge, every Tuesday from 4 to 9 pm – Visitors can view the museum’s Masterworks collection, stroll the historic riverfront gardens and experience Art Connections. Sponsored by THE PLAYERS.

Riverside Arts Market
Saturdays 10 am- 4 pm – Jacksonville’s high-energy free weekly arts, farmers, crafts and foods market under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge on Riverside Avenue. 7th Annual Artisan Jewelry Trunk Show
Through May 9 – Eclectic Galleries presents an exclusive collection of handcrafted jewelry from 15 American artisans working in glass, pearl, clay, semi-precious stone, and fine metals. Spoken Word at the Ritz
Thursday, May 7 at 7 pm-9 pm – The First Thursday of every month, the lobby of the Ritz is transformed into a stage for poets and poetry lovers of all ages. Show off your own talent for verse, or just come, listen and soak up the creative atmosphere.

JCA Film Series- Dangerous Acts
Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 pm – In Dangerous Acts, a film by Shemi Zarhin, a tormented ex-convict seeks forgiveness from the woman whose family he killed. Winner of seven Israeli Academy Awards, including Best Director. Held at the Jewish Community Alliance in Mandarin.

16th Annual Ponte Vedra Art Festival
Saturday & Sunday, May 16 & 17 from 10 am- 5 pm -featuring fine art and crafts, Kids Korner Art Center and Food. Artists travel from all over to participate in this event. The festival is open to the public and has a long history in the Ponte Vedra Community. 8th Annual Verizon Wireless Kids 4 Kids Carnival
Saturday, May 16 from 10 am- 2pm – 8th Annual Verizon Wireless Kids 4 Kids Carnival hosted by the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation will feature arts & crafts, games, prizes, a live DJ, tennis clinics, bounce houses & inflatables, and mascots for youth of all ages. The event will also feature over 30 community organizations providing helpful information on health & social services. This event will be held Saturday, May 16th from 10 am-2 pm at the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation located at 1096 W. 6th Street (32209).
