It was a happy new year at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. At 8:30pm on Jan 1st, mother Zassi and Father Tuco gave birth to the zoo’s newest family member. Harry.
Mom and dad have such excotic names so why the name Harry? Charley & Lindsay Moore won the naming rights at a zoo fundraiser. Their daughter, Charlotte, nambed the cub after her brother. What a great sister.
After having spent several months in a den with his mom, Harry has been finally released into the Range of the Jaguar exhibit at the zoo for everyone to see. He is feisty and loves to play with his mom who sometimes has to put Harry back in his place.
Make sure you go and see Harry and tell him we said hi!
