The Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens
With adorable otters, shaved ice and chances to feed the giraffes, the zoo is no stranger to many Northeast Florida residents. From the spotted leopards to the 100-year-old tortoise Goober, the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens has a lot of ways to snap cute photos of animals and get some priceless pics of your family. This Memorial Day, the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is offering active duty military, active reserve, veterans and their family members $2 off military discount priced tickets. Whether you spend your time watching the monkeys swing from vine to vine or the great apes pound their chests, this family-friendly venue gives you access to all your favorite furry creatures.

Global Bubble Parade
10 a.m. Sunday, May 28
Remember simpler times, when all you had to do was worry about what time dinner was and whether or not you'd finished your homework? Take yourself back to the good ol' days and embrace your inner child as you learn the art of bubble-blowing. Be they big, small or in-between, all bubbles are accepted. To get some extra appreciation of your bubble-making skills, stop by the Global Bubble Parade hosted by Bubbles Are My Superpower and Northeast Florida Advocates for Autism & Related Disabilities at the Main Beach Playground on Amelia Island. Bring your friends, your kids and even your pets and blow away your cares (into lovely bubbles).
