A COLLECTOR'S EYE: CELEBRATING JOSEPH JEFFERS DODGE

Posted

Known affectionately in the art community as “Jerry,” Joseph Jeffers Dodge was among the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens’ first curators. He was incredibly generous with his gifts to the museum, which underscore his own artistic interests (female nudes and landscapes); the museum is especially proud of several pieces, including a Palma Giovane (Italian Renaissance), a Charles-Louis Clérisseau gouache and a nude study by André Lhote.
