The May 10 opening reception for “The Apartment Exhibition” at 1854 Euclid St. in Avondale was a small, friendly art show. Nearly 60 people came to see the apartment that had been transformed into an art gallery. Artists Edison Williams, Lily Kuonen and Thony Aiuppy socialized with guests, and curator Staci Bu Shea was very helpful. Artist Sterling Cox also had art on display but was not present. "The Apartment" is living art exhibit including paintings, drawings, photography, installation and performance. The exhibit runs through June 2. Upcoming events include "A Sunday Kind of Conversation" with Kuonen (6 p.m. May 15) and "Waffles" by Thony Aiuppy (10 a.m. May 26).
