Brickbats to State Attorney Angela Corey

Posted

Brickbats to State Attorney Angela Corey for determining that no crime occurred when 2,700 copies of the Spinnaker, University of North Florida's student newspaper, were taken from racks around campus. Corey’s spokesperson, Jackie Barnard, said since the newspapers are distributed free, “the item has no value.” The State Attorney’s Office did not immediately return an email from Folio Weekly, also a “free” publication, seeking comment. Just because a publication is free doesn’t mean it has no value. Advertisers pay for that distribution.
